Room Hire

At Western College we have a total of six Training Rooms, two Computer Labs and one Boardroom available for hire throughout the year, subject to availability. All of our rooms are fully air-conditioned and can be equipped with projectors, whiteboards, audio and the like to suit your needs. Our College is also fitted with Wireless Internet to allow you to stay connected even if you are not in a computer lab. We also have a common kitchen stocked with tea and coffee but if you require extra catering for morning tea or lunch, it can be arranged at additional cost.

Boardroom (for Corporate Hire Only)

Our Boardroom is a brand new addition to our building and is available for Corporate Hire only. The table can sit up to 12 people and the room is fully air-conditioned and overlooks a beautiful courtyard containing a relaxing water feature.

Our Boardroom is equipped with audio and visual equipment, a 52' wall mounted Television, a teleconference phone, Internet access and a centre power column for laptop connection and additional power outlets.

Computer Labs

Our C6 and C7 Computer Labs are highly sought after and can cater for a class of up to 14 people. Each room is equipped with a whiteboard, data projector, a printer and Internet access.

Our systems can run on one of three operating systems, Windows XP, Windows Vista or Apple MAC. Each computer is installed with Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007 versions. If you require the installation of your own software, we can arrange to have this done at an additional charge.

* C6 Computer Lab - is setup for 12 student pc's and 1 tutor pc which can connect directly to the data projector.

* C7 Computer Lab - is setup for 13 student pc's and 1 tutor pc which can connect directly to the data projector.

If the tutor wishes to use their own laptop, this can also be arranged to connect to the data projector.

Training Rooms - (T1 / T4)

Our T1 to T4 training rooms are divided by retractable partitions, allowing the rooms to be made larger or smaller depending on numbers. T1 contains a fixed projector with full audio, desktop computer and an Interactive Smartboard.

Each individual room can accommodate up to 20-30 people and can be setup in any way you like either in a teaching style, conference style or presentation style.

OHS Construction / Induction (White Card) - 24 February

This course covers the requirements of the construction industry regulations.  Participants can receive 24 CPD points on successful completion of the course.  This is also essential training for anyone seeking employment on construction sites as it assists employees to understand legislation and work with employers to meet the obligations of fostering a safer workplace.

Successful completion will lead to a Statement of Attainment for 1 unit from CPC10108 Certificate I in Construction, CPCCOHS1001A Work safely in the construction industry.

Friday 24 February (1 session)

First Aid Refresher - in conjunction with Australian Red Cross- 25 February

In conjunction with Australian Red Cross

This course allows the first aider to update the knowledge and skills gained (within the previous 3 years) and revise first aid procedures. Participants will be updated on changes since their previous Workplace II or Senior First Aid Course. A current first aid certificate is a prerequisite.

Successful completion will lead to a Statement of Attainment for the nationally endorsed unit of competency HLTFA301B Apply first aid from the HLT Health Training Package.

This course teaches the fundamental principles, knowledge and skills to enable the first aider to provide emergency care for injuries and illnesses in the home or the workplace.
