Kellee DeePosition: Quality and Compliance CoordinatorA busy wife and mother of two, Kellee is a born-and-bred Dubbo local, who has a long and happy association with Western College. Her first role, in 2004, was as a casual tutor, but such is her extensive knowledge of the education and training industry’s stringent standards and reporting requirements, she now fulfils the vital role of Quality and Compliance Coordinator. This role entails ensuring that Western College meets the AQTF (Australian Quality Training Framework 2007) obligations necessary to maintain its Registered Training Organisation (RTO) accreditation status. Kellee took up this role, which ensures the College’s clients receive quality training, in September 2007. Kathie MaxwellPosition: Quality and Compliance OfficerKathie came to us with her experience being primarily within the corporate sector. After a brief interval of three years working at a local school, Kathie began her association with Western College through working with the trainee coordinator to monitor and assess trainees; she later began face-to-face contracted training. Kathie now fills the position of Quality and Compliance officer where she utilises her knowledge of training and her passion for continual improvement to assist the College’s quality and compliance processes. This course covers the requirements of the construction industry regulations. Participants can receive 24 CPD points on successful completion of the course. This is also essential training for anyone seeking employment on construction sites as it assists employees to understand legislation and work with employers to meet the obligations of fostering a safer workplace.
Successful completion will lead to a Statement of Attainment for 1 unit from CPC10108 Certificate I in Construction, CPCCOHS1001A Work safely in the construction industry.

This course allows the first aider to update the knowledge and skills gained (within the previous 3 years) and revise first aid procedures. Participants will be updated on changes since their previous Workplace II or Senior First Aid Course. A current first aid certificate is a prerequisite.
Successful completion will lead to a Statement of Attainment for the nationally endorsed unit of competency HLTFA301B Apply first aid from the HLT Health Training Package.

This course teaches the fundamental principles, knowledge and skills to enable the first aider to provide emergency care for injuries and illnesses in the home or the workplace.
